New Youth Work Network

Momentum (Norfolk) offers support to voluntary and community organisations working with 11-19 year olds to help them run high quality, safe and inclusive services for young people. We have recognised that many of these groups are headed up by youth workers working without much support, and we are considering establishing a Youth Work Network to provide opportunities for youth workers to come together.

We have put together a survey to see whether a network would be useful, and to start looking at what the network could provide. The survey will also give Momentum a better understanding of the numbers of youth workers in Norfolk, so we are better able to present a picture of youth work in the county.

The first meeting of the Youth Work Network will take place on Wednesday 12 December, 6-8pm, in Dereham. This meeting is open to all youth workers who are interested in the network, and there will be a chance to reflect on the survey results to decide the future of the network.
