Voluntary Norfolk are proud and excited to launch a new free network programme for all local charities, community groups and social enterprises working in Norfolk, which will replace the old Voluntary Norfolk/Momentum membership scheme.
The Voluntary Norfolk Network will be a platform for groups to share ideas, skills and resources; receive information and updates about the sector and invitations to join networking events and good practice and training workshops. Being part of the network will strengthen an organisation’s relationships with other VCSE organisations, will help the development of partnerships and enable more effective collaboration between peers.
‘The voluntary sector is incredibly diverse but there are common threads which unite organisations of all sizes; such as the client group they work with, their locality, their work with volunteers or challenges and issues about resources and development.’ says Lucy Hogg, Head of Infrastructure and Communities. ‘The Voluntary Norfolk network will help organisations connect to each other, through thematic networks either created and run by Voluntary Norfolk, or ones that already exist and run by other organisations; we can help local organisations to navigate to the best resources and support available, helping to build sector resilience.
‘This model is very much driven by our desire to support and help more VCSE organisations across Norfolk in a manner that is more relevant to the collaborative way we are all working today. It enables us to focus and build on our strengths and make the most of the excellent networks and resources that are being offered by other organisations and partners.’ Says Lucy.
The team behind the Voluntary Norfolk Network will be the same team that looked after our former membership scheme and we will continue with our ‘no wrong door’ approach, by taking enquiries from any local VCSE group or organisation, signposting them to sources of support either within or outside of Voluntary Norfolk.
Organisations can join the Voluntary Norfolk Network for free, by completing our online form.
