Inspirational Young Volunteers from Nelson’s Journey

A massive ‘well done’ to all the Young Volunteers at Nelson’s Journey who recently completed the Momentum Youth Award for Volunteering.

The Young Volunteers team have together contributed hundreds of hours of volunteering and made a huge difference to the charity. They have been involved in fundraising projects such as the charity’s ‘Purple Picnics’ and regularly give talks about Nelson’s Journey’s work to support children young people who have been bereaved.

The team also worked with technical experts to develop the ‘Smiles and Tears’ smartphone app, which gives bereaved young people a place to store memories of their loved ones and tells them what support is available.

Pictured here are some of the Young Volunteers receiving their certificates, alongside Momentum’s Supporting Excellence Officer, Aimee Gedge.
