Momentum (Norfolk) and other infrastructure organisations are working with the Norfolk and Waveney Health and Care Partnership to develop a Voluntary Sector Health and Social Care Assembly.
The assembly will provide a forum for voluntary and community sector groups, large and small, to play a greater role in the future design & delivery of health and social care services.
All constituted organisations based in and/or operating in Norfolk and Waveney are invited to be part of the new Assembly.
The Assembly will work with and complement the existing established forums and communication channels across the voluntary sector, and will provide reports to the Health and Wellbeing Boards for Norfolk and Waveney.
The assembly is being developed by Norfolk and Waveney’s Sustainability and Transformation Partnership in partnership with Voluntary Norfolk, Momentum, Community Action Norfolk, and Community Action Suffolk
‘There are thousands of charities, community groups and social enterprises who are actively involved at grass roots level in the health, social care and wellbeing of residents in Norfolk & Waveney,’ explains Lucy Hogg, Voluntary Norfolk’s Head of Communities.
‘From carers groups to dementia cafes; from community gardening activities to friendship groups, these organisations, very often run by volunteers, are a powerful collective force for good. The Assembly will be bringing these valuable organisations together to ensure they are more closely involved in the way health and social care services are developed and delivered.’
If you would like to play a part in the future of our local health care system and be kept informed about the development of The Assembly please email info@vcseassemblynandw.org.uk
