Nine youth workers from across Norfolk have completed their Level 2 Award in Youth Work Practice through Momentum
The nine learners and their guests attended a celebration event at OPEN in Norwich on Tuesday 17 July, which included a talk from Tim Eyres, Head of Integrated Commissioning at Norfolk County Council, who spoke about the important and unique relationship that youth workers can have with young people. Certificates were presented by Cameron Hodds, Member of Youth Parliament for East Norfolk, and closing remarks were given by Andrew Proctor, Leader of Norfolk County Council.
The Level 2 course, which will qualify them as Youth Support Workers, took 72 guided hours to complete, and learners had to produce a portfolio showing their learning and reflecting on their own professional practice. The course has been enthusiastically received by the learners, and eight of them have progressed onto the Level 3 course.
If you are interested in attending the next Level 2 course, which starts on 6 October, please contact Momentum by the end of August. More details about the course can be found on the Momentum website.
